Additionally, during the growing season, night applications may be necessary.What you will do:

• Operate drones to support various agricultural activities, such as planting seed, monitoring crop health, and applying fertilizers or pesticides.
• Gather data through drone flights and analyze it to make informed decisions about crop management and yield optimization.
• Oversee the maintenance of drone equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise.
• Ensure all drone operations comply with relevant regulations and safety standards.
• Continuously seek ways to improve drone technology and its application in agriculture to enhance productivity and sustainability.What you will bring:
  • 2+ years of agricultural experience.
  • 2+ years of experience operating drones or 250 hours drone flight log.
  • Qualify for and obtain an FAA Class II (2nd) medical certificate before the first day of employment.
  • JPC/QAL License.
  • Operate agricultural spray drones following FAA regulations and company guidelines.
  • Conduct pre-flight checks to ensure the proper functioning of the drone and its spraying equipment.
  • Safely handle, mix, and load pesticide and fertilizer chemicals according to label directions and work orders.
  • Collaborate with agricultural professionals to plan and execute precise pesticide and fertilizer applications based on crop needs and growth stages.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot UAS equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Monitor weather conditions and other factors that may affect drone operations, making informed decisions to ensure safety and effectiveness.
  • Keep detailed records of flights, applications, and equipment maintenance for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Serve as a trusted resource in assisting in the development and improvement of UAS.The estimated salary range is $70,000-$90,000 annually for a Drone Pilot Applicator.
