Schedule:This position requires a dependable self-starter who is
willing to begin work early in the morning, can operate effectively
without direct supervision, and is capable of safely leading a team
to complete tasks. Additionally, during the growing season, night
applications may be necessary.What you will do:
- Operate drones to support various agricultural activities, such
as planting seed, monitoring crop health, and applying fertilizers
or pesticides.
- Gather data through drone flights and analyze it to make
informed decisions about crop management and yield
optimization.
- Oversee the maintenance of drone equipment and troubleshoot any
technical issues that arise.
- Ensure all drone operations comply with relevant regulations
and safety standards.
- Continuously seek ways to improve drone technology and its
application in agriculture to enhance productivity and
sustainability.What you will bring:
- 2+ years of agricultural experience.
- 2+ years of experience operating drones or 250 hours drone
flight log.
- Qualify for and obtain an FAA Class II (2nd) medical
certificate before the first day of employment.
- JPC/QAL License.
- Operate agricultural spray drones following FAA regulations and
company guidelines.
- Conduct pre-flight checks to ensure the proper functioning of
the drone and its spraying equipment.
- Safely handle, mix, and load pesticide and fertilizer chemicals
according to label directions and work orders.
- Collaborate with agricultural professionals to plan and execute
precise pesticide and fertilizer applications based on crop needs
and growth stages.
- Maintain and troubleshoot UAS equipment to ensure optimal
performance and minimal downtime.
- Monitor weather conditions and other factors that may affect
drone operations, making informed decisions to ensure safety and
effectiveness.
- Keep detailed records of flights, applications, and equipment
maintenance for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Serve as a trusted resource in assisting in the development and
improvement of UAS.The estimated salary range is $70,000-$90,000
annually for a Drone Pilot Applicator. Actual salary and benefits
may differ based upon location.We provide an attractive benefits
