Information The Streets Division is looking for an individual with
striping and sign making/installation, concrete, and asphalt
experience who is looking to start a career in the public sector.
The ideal candidate is someone with experience in operating a
thermoplastic machine, paint striping machine and truck, removal
and replacement of sidewalk/curb and gutter, asphalt repairs,
possession of a Class A license, and traffic control knowledge.
This candidate must be coachable and possess a positive attitude,
willingness to learn, ability to communicate with public/staff, and
fit into a team environment, which is key to the Division's

Experience Guidelines - Any combination of education and experience
that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is
qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities
would be: Education/Training: Equivalent to the completion of the
twelfth grade. Experience: Two years of experience in the
construction and maintenance of streets and public facilities
comparable to a Street Maintenance Worker I with the City of
Brentwood. License or Certificate: Possession of and ability to
maintain a valid Class A California driver's license. Application

and may be extended up to an additional 18 months. This eligible
list will be used by the City of Brentwood to fill all current and
future openings in this classification as long as the list is
