SummaryThe intern will support a team developing complex consumable
devices for medical diagnostics. This internship position is
located in Santa Clara, CA (On site). The Opportunity:
- Performance evaluations for new hardware designs.
- Test methods and process development.
- Dimensional and mechanical measurements.
- Surface metrology and characterization.
- Data analysis and report generation.
- Sample preparation for external analysis.Program Highlights
- Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid
internship.
- Program start dates are in May/June (Summer)
- A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help
alleviate costs associated with the internship.
- Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical
projects.
- Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology
industry.Who You AreRequired Education: You meet one of the
following criteria:
- Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree (not currently enrolled
in a graduate program).
- Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student).
- Must have attained a Master's Degree.
- Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student).Required Majors:
- Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical
Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline.Required
Skills:
- Excellence in familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint or
equivalents required.
- Interested in metrology, microscopy, and other types of
hands-on laboratory analysis work.
- Interested in computational modeling & physics simulation.
- Previous laboratory experience is highly preferred.Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal
skills.

- Extensive knowledge of fluidic dynamics is a plus.
- Familiarity with JMP, R, MATLAB and other statistical analysis
programs is a plus.Relocation benefits are not available for this
job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on
the primary location of California is $45.00-$50.00 hour. Actual
pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications,
geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by
law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off
